BOSTON (October 8, 2008) - While Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez is driving in runs in the MLB playoffs, one lucky eBay bidder will be driving away in the 12-time All-Star's custom 1967 Lincoln Continental! The auction for Ramirez's car is available by clicking here.

Ramirez, prior to being traded from the Boston Red Sox in July, donated his vintage, custom-built 1967 Lincoln Continental to the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston. Proceeds from the purchase of this automobile will go to this small, non-profit special needs pediatric hospital.

Ramirez personally oversaw the custom rebuild of this "Dodger Blue" 1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible completed by the famous Rad Rides of Chicago. The car is in incredible condition and has a post rebuild mileage of 73. The car also features:

• Ford racing 460 cubic inch engine, 500 hp.
• Custom paint and body work
• Custom wheels
• BFG tires
• Flowmaster exhaust
• Air ride technologies suspension
• MSD ignition
• Barry Grant fuel system
• C6 Ford transmission
• Custom stereo Rockford Fosgate components
• Custom Griffin Interior
• Sherms plating on the chrome parts
• Polished stainless trim parts

"Manny Ramirez was always a great friend to the hospital during his time in Boston," Franciscan Hospital for Children Chief Development Officer Steven Snyder said. "This car was a generous gift to the hospital and we're hoping to raise a lot of funds to enhance our programs. The winning bidder will not only be getting a great piece of baseball memorabilia, but also hit a homerun for all the children who walk in our doors."

The auction for Ramirez's car will end on October 18 at 11:00 p.m. PDT. For rules and regulations on this auction, log on to www.ebay.com.
