cristman0903.jpgNew England Revolution forward Adam Cristman will miss the rest of the 2008 season after receiving surgery on his right big toe tomorrow at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Cristman has played the entire season with the injury, which he sustained late last season and aggravated while playing in January for the United States Under-23 team.

Team vice president of player personnel Michael Burns said Cristman has played with pain all season long, and that the hallux rigidux correction should fix the problem.

The 23-year-old Cristman is tied for the team lead with six goals; he has one assist in 18 regular-season games.
