Reporters calling for football coach get phone sex hotline instead

oleary0903.jpgStrange story of the week comes from the world of college football, and the exceptionally strange world of Central Florida head coach George O'Leary. This is the guy, you'll remember, who was knocked out of the running for the Notre Dame job when an inaccuracy was found in his resume.

Earlier this week, a scheduled media teleconference with O'Leary had to be delayed when the school accidentally gave reporters an incorrect number for the call. Here's what the unsuspecting reporters heard, in a woman's voice that was much, um, friendlier than they are used to hearing from O'Leary:

"Hi sexy! You've reached the live, one-on-one fantasy line."

Greg Auman, a sportswriter for Tampabay.com, declined to go further into what the woman said, but he notes that this could be a tricky expense-account issue for him.
