| Don't hear this every day -- MLB team to reduce ticket prices »
Click the play button below to hear Sean McAdam's comments, recorded this morning. The topics: yesterday's miracle victory over Baltimore, good contributions from the bottom of the order, gaining ground on Tampa Bay in the A.L. East, and the Red Sox' record-tying streak of consecutive sellouts at Fenway Park. Here's what Sean said on how high attendance translates to wins: "It's kind of funny to look back and see video highlights of Red Sox games as recently as earlier this decade, where a ball gets hit into the right-field corner and you see all the empty seats in the right-field box seats and grandstands. That's unthinkable now, because you just assume that every game is going to be sold out, and that playoff intensity and environment is going to exist for every game, regardless of time of year or opponent." |
