The Big East announced this morning that Providence College will host the 2009 conference field hockey championships at the Friar Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. It will be the first league tournament held on Providence's campus since 1993, when the Friar athletic department hosted the Big East women's soccer championship tourney.
