Jason Giambi reported for duty at Tropicana Field yesterday with a gash on the corner of his swollen and discolored right eyelid that. Here's his explanation, according to the New York Post: "I would like to have something to tell you, something like a fight or anything else. But it was nothing like that. I walked into the bathroom door at the hotel and split it open." "There was so much blood the maid probably was wondering where the body was hid." The wound didn't prevent the 'stache from coming through with an RBI double in the third inning of the 8-4 Yanks win.
