East Providence's Silva activated off Colts' practice squad

Jamie Silva, the former East Providence All-Stater, was activated today off the practice squad by the Indianapolis Colts. ``It happened after our practice this morning,'' he said. ``It was exciting.'' Silva was an All-America defensive back at Boston College, but was not drafted and was signed by the Colts. He will be eligible tomorrow when the Colts entertain the Jacksonville Jaguars. --BILL REYNOLDS
