Smithfield's Kevin Kurbec was named an assistant coach for Bryant University's men's basketball team under first-year head coach Tim O'Shea. A 2002 graduate of Providence College, Kurbec was PC's director of basketball operations since 2005. Bryant also appointed Pete Kahler director of men's basketball operations. Kahler was a member of O'Shea's staff at Ohio University where he was the team's video coordinator.
