The United States is one game away from reclaiming the gold medal in men's basketball.

The Redeem Team raced out to a 21-point first-quarter lead, faltered in the second quarter but never let it get too close in the second half, and ended up with a 101-81 win over Argentina, which won the gold medal in the 2004 Athens Games.

Argentina played most of the game without San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili, who hurt his left foot in the first quarter. But they got a game-high 26 points and 11 rebounds from the Houston Rockets' Luis Scola and 19 from Carlos Delfino of the Toronto Raptors.

The Americans were led offensively by Carmelo Anthony, who had 21 points despite going just 3 of 14 from the field. Anthony was a perfect 13 of 13 from the foul line, which is just about the only area where the Americans have struggled in these Olympics. Chris Bosh had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Redeem Team will play the gold medal game against Spain at 2:30 Sunday morning.
