Here's a story on the Manny Ramirez Saga that appears to have slipped through the cracks, at least locally. On CBSSportsline.com, Scott Miller reported that the Marlins' interest in Manny Ramirez may have been fueled, at least originally, by a desire to turn around and trade him to the Yankees. They abandoned the idea, however, when the Yankees weren't receptive to the notion and Scott Boras, Ramirez' agent, let it be known he and his client wouldn't agree to the deal. Jon Heyman of SI.com breaks down the chronology of events that landed Ramirez in Los Angeles and concludes the Marlins -- who were willing to keep Manny -- "overplayed their hand."
