Cranston National Budlong scored three runs in the first inning and pitcher Meghan Lavey pitched a complete-game two-hit shutout, leading Cranston to a 3-0 win over Massachusetts in the Eastern Regional Junior League Softball Tournament yesterday at Syracuse, N.Y. Lavey struck out eight and didn't allow a walk. Cranston's first four batters got on base while Ashley Russo, Denise Archetto and Samantha Fallon each batted in a run. Cranston will finish pool play today with a game against Maine at 2:30 p.m.
