Shelton, Connecticut's Bobby Moretti pitched five innings and gave up just one hit while striking out eight to lead the Conn. all-stars over Cranston Western, 4-0, in the New England Regional Little League Baseball Tournament last night at Bristol Conn. Cranston starting pitcher Rob Henry worked 42/3-innings and gave up four runs (one earned) on four hits and fanned 10 batters. The loss moves Cranston to 0-2 in the four-game pool-play format. Cranston will play again today at 5 p.m. against Camden, Maine, which is also winless in the tournament at 0-3. |
