Zdeno Chara climbs Mount Kilimanjaro

chara0717.jpgThe NHL's tallest player climbs Africa's tallest mountain. And you can read all about it, as the Bruins are documenting Zdeno Chara's trip up to the 19,350-foot summit in Tanzania.

Why is Chara doing this? Because he is an athlete ambassador for Right To Play, which uses sports and group activities to help educate children in developing counries. He spent a week visiting children in Mozambique with Robyn Regehr of the Calgary Flames, then went for his personal adventure on Kilimanjaro.

Rob Simpson, a producer and host on the NHL Network who accompanied Chara's group, is reporting the journey day by day. Today's report is day four, and they still haven't reached the summit.
