Guess that girl won't be laying any more little stripers - hard to catch and release with that style of fishing. Guess that's why it is illegal in MA,

Sorry but spearfishing is far more a "sport" than angling. Im all about sharing the wealth of the ocean, where God created our fish, and that is where i spearfish to eat and enjoy God's gift. Go face to face and meet your prey on its turf where you have the disadvantage and could well be prey yourself, then ill respect you as a "sportsman".

I cannot comprehend or muster any respect for the "sport" of dragging any fish hundreds of feet through the water by a steel hook just to jerk the hook from its mouth and release it... all for what???? your pleasure??? Go climb a mountain or something so you don't have to extract your pleasure from the suffering of animals.. Or keep your fish and eat them as God intended...

PS i spear stripers in MA whenever i visit and will keep doing so with impunity.

Located in one of the most spectacular fishing locations in the world, Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, Costa Rica is complete with all the amenities and services you’d expect to find in a five-star marina resort, unquestionably the finest and only full service marina you will find in all of Central America.

Awesome catch! Amazing! I hope to bring in something half that size someday!

Fishpainter....fish were created to eat especially the big ones! Catch and release is the most cruel way to fish. Would you want to be hooked in the mouth and then released, only to be hooked again?
