shockey0721.jpgJuly 21 (Bloomberg) -- The New York Giants agreed to send tight end Jeremy Shockey to the New Orleans Saints for draft picks.

The agreement is pending approval by the National Football League, and Shockey must also pass a physical, Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said. Bensel would not comment on the nature of the draft pick picks New Orleans will send the Giants. Fox Sports, which first reported the story on its Web site, said the Giants will receive second- and fifth-round selections.

Shockey, 27, broke his left leg against Washington on Dec. 16. Kevin Boss took over, and the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl.

Shockey caught 57 passes last season before the injury, and Boss caught five passes for 90 yards during the playoffs, including a 45-yard pass on one of New York's touchdown drives in the championship game against the New England Patriots.
