BOSTON -- With 30 of the 61 championships in NBA history to their credit, the Celtics (16) and Lakers (14) dominate the Finals record book.

Laker great Elgin Baylor holds the record for most points in a game, 61, versus the Celts in 1962. Magic Johnson dished out a record 21 assists against the Celts in 1984.
Bill Russell grabbed a record 40 rebounds twice, versus St. Louis in 1960 and against the Lakers in 1962.

Russell played in the most championship series (12), followed by teammate Sam Jones’ 11. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played in 10 with the Lakers and Bucks.
