| NBA FINALS IN-GAME: Rivers thinks Thibodeau should have been considered for vacant coaching positions »
BY KEVIN McNAMARA LOS ANGELES -- Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he would not be altering his rotation even with the outstanding effort from reserve forward Leon Powe in Game Two. Sure enough, the first big man off the bench for the Celts last night was P.J. Brown. "Leon plays he plays the role that he plays, and we would prefer him to play it in that order that he played in the last game. But we don't want him trying to do more. Obviously we'll take what he gave us,” said Rivers. Powe knows his role better than most second-year players in the league and he’s not the type of player to look for more minutes because of a one-game explosion. "The thing I like about Leon is he does what he does. He's not going to go outside of that for the most part," said Rivers. "And what I was most happy about was our guys were looking for him. It was a battle cry all game, quite honestly." |
