HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)- A jury has acquitted a man if murder and manslaughter charges in the fatal shooting of a Hartford boxer.

Juan Antonio Pena's lawyer says the jury has convicted his client of illegally carrying a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm.

A prosecution witness had testified that 23-year-old Gregory Cuyler, a two-time New England Golden Gloves champion, was killed outside a Hartford nightclub during a dispute over a drug deal in April 2005

According to testimony from state ballistics experts, three guns were fired at the scene, but none of them was found during the investigation. He was acquitted Thursday.

Pena was arrested two months after the shooting when he was featured on the TV program "America's Most Wanted."
