Double-amputee sprinter can run in Olympics

May 16 (Bloomberg) -- Double-amputee runner Oscar Pistorius won his appeal to be eligible to compete in the Olympics, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled.

Pistorius, a South African, had been barred from Olympic eligibility by the International Association of Athletics Federations, which said studies found the carbon-fiber prosthetic blades he runs on gave him an unfair advantage.
