Jill Craybas's ninth visit to the Australian Open ended in the second round in singles and first round in doubles. The East Greenwich native lost to Elena Vesnina of Russia, 6-2, 6-4, in the second round at Melbourne. She had defeated Yung-Jan Chan of Taipei, 6-4, 6-2, in the first round. Craybas and Lilia Osterloh of Canal Winchester, Ohio, lost in the first round in doubles to Janette Husarova of Slovakia and Flavia Pennetta of Italy, 6-4, 6-2.
